You Know You're a Geek When…

iStock 000000717822XTiny 232x300 You Know You're a Geek When...You are watching the end of a movie at the cinema’s and instead of thinking “Wow this movie has a lot of credits!” like any normal human being would you instead have the following experience.

You sit there waiting for the end of the credits in the hope there will be something interesting about the next movie or even just something comical or funny and instead of thinking “Wow this movie has a lot of credits!” you instead have the thought pass through your geeky mind “Wow jeez, I wonder how many kilobytes all these credits take up!”

Yes… I managed to take something as innocent as the credits of a movie and turn them into something disgustingly geeky. OK I will be honest, after I had that thought I had to hang my own head in shame at the thought, but I guess it was kinda a valid point that I thought of.

/walks away in geeky shame.

Ride on Esky at CeBit Sydney

Could it be said that every Australian Man’s Dream is to have the ability to ride around and have his vehicle stocked up with beer? Possibly, in my case however I would have to pick Diet Coke as my drink of choice. That said, the following item that I saw at CeBit in Sydney that was on display by Charles Sturt University I think helps us to realise that dream.

I was given the opportunity to have a ride around on it (you would be surprised what carrying round a professional looking camera will get you) and I have to say it had some get up and go. So, what are the craziest items you have ever had the chance to ride?

Minor domain change :)

After waiting many years for it to become available I have finally managed to get my greasy little paws on the domain StuartRyan.com. Therefore this site has been moved from the old domain SCRyan.com to the new shiny and cool name StuartRyan.com

Awesomeness in a bottle? I think so!

Is it wrong that I take pleasure in tormenting others?

Not everyone… just certain people *grins*.

Lets take for example the following image:

IMAG0010 300x179 Is it wrong that I take pleasure in tormenting others?

Everyone loves sorry chocolate. However it is the reason WHY I received this chocolate that is cruel. To cut a long story short a workmate and I were meant to catch lunch today however instead she double booked. When I saw her this morning all I got was a “I won’t be doing lunch today, I have someone else I am going to do lunch with”, essentially booking directly over the top of me /cries. Anyhoo in the end I played it all up and made my poor workmate feel guilty for the majority of the day hehe and I got sorry chocolate out of it.

*waves a thank you to Karen for the amusement AND the chocolate*.

Reliability

One word, one simple word… Reliability, why is it so hard to come across these days?

In the last week I have run into three major issues (of which none need to be discussed here) where I have been let down due to another party not keeping up their end of the bargain. I wonder why people just can’t manage to organise and arrange themselves to stick to their word.

But that is just me, so this is just a short little rant to say… PEOPLE! BE MORE RELIABLE!

This has been a geeky service announcement.
